Managers 2023/24

Post by PitmanKeith »

Danny Glover
P12 W1 D3 L8 F15 A25 Pts 6

Harry Harris
P16 W4 D5 L7 F18 A26 Pts 17

Paul Moore
P10 W2 D3 L5 F11 A17 Pts 9

Over the season Harris average would have had us 17th and safe
Moore would have had us 19th but no PPG reprieve
Glover would have had us 19th 13 points off safety and no reprieve.

Agree with pipe on this and honestly feel he would have kept us up.

I think the issue over Harris was a forced one. He was gone days after the DOF brought in the likes of Delfouneso, Jervis, Rowe etc.
I don't think he was comfortable with someone else signing the players for him which may have led to a confrontation. My thoughts obviously.

Harris said naively in first Express & Star report that players wanted to follow him. The Walsall Wood owner had the resolve to counter that by insisting on 7 day notices (x 3 maximum 28 days apart) and placing players on contract to block any ongoing approach-one player signed via Boldmere and there was no obvious indication that the management team with supposedly good contacts actually could deliver. With results dropping off the writing was on the wall.We should thank each manager for their efforts which unfortunately were collectively not good enough and move on.
