Can two teams from the same division be reprieved on PPG??? From what Keith has previously said reprieves are only available to those clubs that finish next to bottom of their respective division.

That helps us I guess - just got to ensure we finish up with a better record that Grantham.

Grantham won with a 96th minute winner. Luckily everyone else that we should be worrying about did worse than us. All eyes on the NPL East Division from now on.

Re: POINTS PER GAME
If Grantham get the 5 points they need to overhaul us, more if we pick up more points, they probably won't finish next to bottom. So I'd also be keeping a keen eye on Winterton Rangers, Ossett Utd and Brighouse, any of these four can finish next bottom that league is so tight.
I'm also hoping Thame Utd (Southern 1 Central) have a poor end to the season, if we pick up two points more than them in the run in it would swing us into first place.

The run in
Winterton 25 PTS
Stockton (H)
Ashington (A)

Grantham (H)
Grantham 28 PTS
Liversedge (A)

I'll be putting an update on later I reckon there are 37 teams still in danger of finishing next to bottom across all eight step 4 divisions, it ain't over by a long way. But the ball is still in our court to get enough points to finish 3rd bottom.

Re: POINTS PER GAME
The other leagues are irrelevant in my humble opinion. We only have to worry about finishing ahead of the second bottom placed team in the NPL East. With the exception of the SL Central, the teams that are likely to finish second bottom in the other step 4 leagues have virtually no chance of matching our PPG tally.PitmanKeith wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07 2024 1:39 pmWhat about all the other leagues?Perton Pitman wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07 2024 1:24 pm The run in

Re: POINTS PER GAME
We can alleviate this issue simply by picking up two wins in our last three games, we shouldn't be relying on others

What's the increase in PPG when someone draws or wins.

Re: POINTS PER GAME
Over 3 or 4 games with season average results minimal.
If we won our last three it would increase to 1.039
If we lose our last three it would decrease to 0.842
If we average a point a game we would finish with 0.921
For PP's benefit if say Grantham won their last four games it would increase to 1.000
If they lost their last four it would decrease to 0.700
If they get eight points from their last four they will finish with 0.900

So looking at that a win should be sufficient to finish above Grantham ? as can't see them winning all 4.

Re: POINTS PER GAME
Thame Utd won 3-0 last night to extend their lead in the PPG race. This puts them level on points with Kidlington in their league but below them still in second bottom on goal difference.
Liversedge v Grantham was postponed
Looks like we are fighting for second place chaps.

...but then we have to rely on either Winterton or grantham not picking up enough points to surpass us. They are bigger threats than Brighouse and they have to play each other on the last day of the season and you have to think that if either, or both, need to win to go past us then it will be less likely to end in stalemate
