I heard a piece on Radio 4 yesterday morning... it pointed out that if they go under not only will their 6000 fans have "nowhere to go" on a Saturday afternoon but the 150 club employees would also lose their jobs.
An example on a bigger scale of what might happen closer to home..

And not granting exclusivity but keeping options open makes more sense and then narrow down when appropriate
