Re: OFFICIAL STATISTICS
I started another thread asking if anyone can help with players league appearances in the early 1990s - hopefully someone can help.

Re: OFFICIAL STATISTICS
Congratulations to Andre Landell who, when coming on as a 2nd half substitute against Redditch, made his 50th appearance for the Pitmen.
Andre made his debut way back on 10/12/2011 when coming on as a sub in the 6-1 win against Mickleover in the NPL at Keys Park.
He has made a total of 27 starts, 23 sub apps and scored 10 goals across three spells at Keys Park.

Re: OFFICIAL STATISTICS
That is some gap between debut and 50th appearance, especially after being with us in three separate spells. Wonder if there has been a longer time span between 1st and 50th appearance?PitmanKeith wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08 2022 12:49 pm Congratulations to Andre Landell who, when coming on as a 2nd half substitute against Redditch, made his 50th appearance for the Pitmen.

Kyle Bennett brought up 50 appearances for the Pitmen in the recent game versus Alvechurch.
In the same game Tom Thorley made his 200th start, 218 in all including appearances off the bench.

Re: OFFICIAL STATISTICS
The total players used this season is getting to an exciting stage. It also depends how you want to look at it, do you go with players used who actually get on the pitch, which is an appearance or players named on team sheet.
Anyway here we go with the seasons in the running and I have listed both scenarios.
2007/08
Starbuck
62 on team sheets
62 used
2018/19
Smith/Francis/Eaden/Hayward
64 on team sheets
62 used
2022/23
KMR/Burr/Glover
63 on team sheets
60 used
So at the moment 2018/19 is winning on team sheets (64) and 2007/08 & 2018/19 are joint leaders with players used (62). But it is close, however I believe the cut off for signings is next Thursday unless anyone knows different.
2007/08 is a stand out though as only three subs were named back then as opposed to five nowadays.

Final stats for amount of players used in 2022/23 is as follows:
65 players named on team sheets, a new club record.
63 players used at some point during the game, a new club record.**
22 players made 10 or more appearances
12 players made between 5 and 9 appearances
29 players made between 1 and 4 appearances
2 players named on team sheet but not entering field of play.
** amended since my original post as Garry Walker came on for Rhys Williams at half time yesterday which was not reported on twitter or the official match report on the club website.

Re: OFFICIAL STATISTICS
Do you have a running total appearance count for the Pitmen for the current playing squad, Keith?

Much to my Dad's pleasure that is one of three home league games I've missed in the last 20 years, as I was at Thorpe Park.PitmanKeith wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25 2024 6:34 pm The last time we scored 6 in one half was the season before in a 9-0 rout of Weymouth again at Keys Park on 23/10/2010.

He missed the 5-4 against Stafford though so we're just about even.

I'm pretty sure for the 53/54 season they were rejected or the application failed to arrive by the due date.

Re: OFFICIAL STATISTICS
Back over a decade ago Dave Shaw and I started to try and record all of those early games into a spreadsheet by utilising library records - really is amazing the details they gave back then. The first FA Cup game I have is from October 1890. Certainly an afternoon to forget for the Pitmen!
Season: 1890-91
Date: 04.10.90
Team: Webster, Lyons, Hughes, Lomas, Lewis, Talbot, Oswell, Ashley, Rawlins, Spooner, Wootton

Re: OFFICIAL STATISTICS
i think i now have every single fa cup game recorded in my spreadsheet its took some digging around.
i finished logging all the womens results for last season and this one and currently working on finishing off the vets results (4 seasons) i have a big chunk of the 1st team done from 1990 to present and the book history of the birmingham senior cup is a fascinating read.
ive still got a mountain of documents to go through as well. maybe sometime ill put it all into a website.
im surprised how many games ive found against wrexham and wolves and i think i have about 60 games logged v kidderminster harriers. it really is fascinating when you dig through the records

Re: OFFICIAL STATISTICS
going from my list of fa cup games from 1880 to date the goal scored by sion spence was hednesfords 250th goal away from home in the fa cup (revised from my earlier post after discovering more results)
a lot of counting was involved so please excuse my 3 brain cells for making any mistakes
the away record in my book reads
played 144
won 57
drew 30
lost 57
for 250
against 275
