While you were all being entertained at the Redditch game, I went to watch my local team West Didsbury & Chorlton away at Longridge Town in the FA Cup. Wonderful views of the Forest of Bowland and won 1-0 but sadly nobody had a silver foil FA Cup replica.
Away at Northwich Vics next up. But they share with Witton who are also at home in the Cup that day. So not sure what will happen.

And there was significant trouble at Macclesfield v Wythenshawe. The visitors mainly to blame and their Twitter feed expressed regret at the scenes but then went on to criticise the catering at Macc...

Cracking FA Cup action last night as West Didsbury & Chorlton won 3-2 at Northwich Vics. Late Vics equaliser was followed one minute later by one of those "I was there" moments when a West player ran from half way and crashed a curling 25 yarder into the bottom corner. Cue pandemonium among the 250 or so away fans, the tin foil FA Cup was significantly damaged. Step 3 sides come in to the draw now, Hednesford v West would be good.
VIcs share with Witton, what a great ground it is, despite being in the middle of nowhere. Haven't been since Pitmen's last game there when Jake Weaver gave his gloves to Junior Pitmanchester.

Atherstone won 5-1 at Leek Town, we'll probably get them.Pitmanchester wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20 2022 12:11 pm Cracking FA Cup action last night as West Didsbury & Chorlton won 3-2 at Northwich Vics. Wouldn't have made any difference if it was Leek. I see another swift exit on the horizon no matter who we get.

Maybe we can cause an FA Cup shock for a change and get a win?

Another Step 4 side from the East Midlands. I'm sure it will be a struggle!

A tricky tie; not the draw the manager will have wanted I’d imagine. On paper, very winnable but on current form and with our terrible recent record in the competition it’s anything but that. I recall they pushed us all the way a couple of years ago and only a late, late Glover goal finally saw us through
Plenty of potential banana skins; Stourbridge at home to the Hanley Globetrotters, Tamworth hosting Boldmere St. Michaels, whilst Highgate will fancy a result at Barwell as will Romulus at Basford

Up north, West Didsbury & Chorlton will play.... Macclesfield. Not sure if we can host this, with their support and our ground which doesn't even have a proper entrance despite the new wooden shed. So probably to be switched. Should be a good day out with potential for an upset, no worries if West lose.

Not sure you can ask for much more mate, lower league opposition and at home. Again it's in the managers hands, but tbh that doesn't fill me with confidence either.C D S wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22 2022 1:54 pm A tricky tie; not the draw the manager will have wanted I’d imagine. I agree that the draw has been kind. Long eaton have drawn both league games and we are at home.
We all said the same last year when we drew cleethorpes though.
We should win, but if we get knocked out it won't be as big a surprise as what happened to Leek and halesowen on Saturday.
The whole thing has an air of inevitability about it!
